Fitzgerald Crew: Lancaster ED627 EM:N
Saturday, 28 August 1943: Op Nuremberg

The Pilot, PO Arthur Marcus Fitzgerald, RAF(VR) 148128 was the cousin of Shaun McGuire. They took off from RAF Langar, Nottinghamshire at 21:29  on Friday 27th August 1943 to bomb Nuremberg. It was in the early hours of the following morning that they were shot down. There were no survivors.

Shaun has done an immense amount of work researching the Fitzgerald crew and their fate.
