7th June 1984: The practice for the Farewell Flypast. Ian Hampton: "I had so much on my plate with the admin of disbanding the Squadron and trying to get decent next jobs for all the guys, that I didn't have time to sensibly plan and lead the formation. I gave that job to Sqn Ldrs Bert Conchie and 'Rosie' Rosenorn-Lanng, a job they both did very well. I'm in the nearest aircraft with Sqn Ldr Colin Shaw." source: Hampton |
